Y'know what's really good?

Ginger-poached tilapia served over asparagus and lily bulbs sautéed with garlic, soy and red pepper flakes. Definitely something to do again!

mmmm, that DOES sound really good. Are these special gourmet lilies, or just garden-variety (forgive the pun) ones? I saw a roadside stand selling fresh asparagus while driving around the Amherst area today, and wondered if the bouquet would be anything as good as the fresh-picked asparagus I've had from my old garden - that was a divine evanescent experience that I'd love to be able to get from someone else's asparagus patch.

Ooh, fresh asparagus! That sounds wonderful.

These were lily bulbs from Super 88. I don't know how they relate to the garden variety--I imagine they're at least very similar.
