Self-Evaluation

It seems to be annual review season on my flist. And I was thinking--if I were still in the work world, I would try getting my calendar to remind me every Friday afternoon at 3pm to send myself an email or make a private, tagged post listing what I'd been working on that week, how I thought I'd done in terms of productivity, any special notes (asses saved, balls dropped, triumphs achieved) and maybe a goal for the next week. If I had a self-evaluation form handy, I might even make use of its categories to organize my own notes. Then, when this time came around, I could pull up the email file, or display those tagged entries and have a whole lot of fodder to digest into my review.

In fact, this seems like such a good idea, I think I'll try it for my own reference. Maybe I'll even give myself a bonus next year.
