Pasta salad kind of scares me, because I don't generally like cold foods that have been cooked. However, the one kind of pasta salad that I *do* eat is one that I will eat at any temperature! It's a Target brand, but I haven't had any in ages.

Pasta salad is (imho) defined in part by the fact that it's not served warm, otherwise it's just a regular hot pasta dish. Sort of like how iced tea served hot wouldn't be iced tea anymore. :]

A pasta salad, whether warm as in room temperature or cold as in refrigerated depends, to me, on what the ingredients are, if it's store bought or not and how recently it was made. If you just combined all the ingredients and it's still warm from having cooked the pasta, mmmmm...probably tasty. If it's something you bought from the store, I'd probably prefer it cooler.

room temperature or cold, but not all 3 of the above.
