_Firefly_ was a short-lived television series by Joss Whedon that melded the western with science fiction. Some very cool plots and a cast of likeable and complex characters. You either saw the half-dozen episodes on TV or picked up the DVD of the series, but as science-fiction television goes, this was really good stuff. It ended abruptly and unresolved so a lot of fans are hoping the movie will at least give us some closure.

Luckily, I can't stand trailers for just that very reason. They're all spoilers these days.
