I'm guessing about 2000, once you throw in the kids books, drama and travel books. I work pretty hard to keep my collection "clean" by donating to the rummage sale anything I wouldn't read again or recommend.

1) Total number of films I own on DVD/video:
I have so no idea. They're in milk crates in the tool room--there are 3 crates. We've got a lot of stuff on VHS that was taped from TV. People give them to us. Of DVDs we've purposely decided to own, there are 3 or 4 TV series and maybe 10 movies. I try not to buy them.

The Jennifer Ehle/Colin Firth Pride & Prejudice on DVD, maybe? That was a year or two ago.
3) The last film I watched:
Film? Maybe the ROTK extended version? Oh, no, I think we watched Lost Souls via Netflix. Mostly we just don't find the time to watch movies at home.

I've an odd situation wrt a book at the moment - I need a long, interesting *compact* book - I'm heading out on a long hike and need to minimize weight and size, but would hate to finish my book along the way. On a previous hike, I brought and read most of the Illiad, which was wonderful (except that during the hike, I did serious damage to an Achilles Heel - gads - if I'd brought the Odyssey, I'm afraid that the hike would have taken 20 years!). Last time around, I took a book which I'd really like to read, but I just never got momentum going on it. So, what to bring? Oy, to have to choose a book based on size and weight!
