Yeah. We went through this with both of my grandmothers, may they rest in peace. It is so, so hard. My mom's in the field herself (clinical social worker specializing in elder care) and nothing she learned as a professional helped all that much when it was her own family. How to advocate for my grandmothers, yes, how to get things done, but other than that, no.
I don't doubt the author's good intentions. But the tone-deafness of this list is pretty staggering.
