Airboat, Airboat, Airboat
Dec. 26th, 2003 09:46 pmAfter a frustrating morning of trying to get twelve people out the door to approximately six different places in four different cars, we finally made it out the door shortly after noon. I went with Jason and his folks down to Everglades City and we went on an airboat tour of the mangrove swamp. That was so cool! I love driving down roads where the trees meet over the lane and the sun dapples down across your path. This was just like that, interspersed with brief periods of rollercoaster skids and turns and bumps across the open water. Wheeee! We even saw a couple of alligators in their natural habitat, as well as the dozen or so big muthas the boat company have in their enclosed habitat area. Then we had to meet back up with the other eight for dinner at Macaroni Grill--and everyone was shocked that it took an hour for our table of twelve to get food. Ah well. One more day.
