We had our annual winter/birthday party last night. I made the Charles Dickens punch and it came out very well. I think I made just about exactly enough food--by the end of the evening most people were declining the hot hors d'oeuvres, but almost everything got eaten. The mix of people was interesting. As usual, people I rather expected didn't make it and people showed up that I hadn't expected at all. But it was all good and folk seemed to mix well and several people brought their kids, which was fun.

The day was enhanced by the lovely and goofy flowers and balloons that muffyjo sent me.

And Michelle Kwan won her 8th national figure skating title!
