Mar. 28th, 2004 11:22 pmI had an amazingly social weekend.
On Friday evening we went to a party at the place that hosted our cast party a couple of weeks ago. It was very cool of them to invite us all back and it was great to see the T@F folks. I tried to make it over to Helicopter Helicopter's last Boston gig, but they were sold out. Good for them, too bad for me. So I just went back to the party and hung out until the folks who had made it into the show turned up and then we went out to IHOP.
On Saturday we had dinner with Tom & steve at The Red House in Harvard Square, which was very tasty. Then we saw Harold Pinter's The Birthday Party at the ART. Still don't much care for Pinter.
Afterwards we ducked home to throw on our tuxes and went to a formal wine & cheese party, which was an interesting mix of some of the folks from the previous evening and other people I haven't seen in quite a while.
This morning we took my elder sister out for brunch in honor of her birthday. It was the first time we'd been to Orleans and we enjoyed it quite a bit.
In the afternoon we went to
gilana's tap recital--that was fun! Jason got up and danced during the audience participation section, while I took pictures.
muffyjo turned up and we had a late lunch together and caught up a little. Then Jason dropped me off at work, so I can get in my hours this week even though we're leaving for New Orleans on Wednesday.
After work it was a relief to come home and sit in front of the telly for a bit. We watched Equilibrium, a dystopic SF movie starring Christian Bale and Taye Diggs, with Emily Watson and Sean Bean. I had never heard of it before I came across it on netflix and having watched it, I can see why. But CB was lovely and the fight choreograpy was pretty and the whole thing was almost worth it for the gunfight at the end--never seen that before, but I bet we'll see it again.
Tomorrow we're going to go test-drive a mini, just to be sure it's what we want. And then I have to get serious about prepping for our trip. Wheeeee!
