We saw Mike Doughty at the Paradise a couple of weeks ago and he covered a song that Jason & I really liked. It's originally by the Magnetic Fields and it's called "The Book of Love" and I thought other people here might enjoy it.

How was he a la carte? I'm still a huge whopping Soul Coughing fan and was severely bummed when they ended.

He's very good. It's pretty amazing how much of the Soul Coughing
experience he manages to get across as just one guy with a guitar.
Actually, this time he had a guy on keyboards for about half the set, but I
enjoyed his solo bits more. I miss the bass, but it really does have the
same feel somehow.

He's got an EP out now called Rockity Roll. It suffers a bit from the addition of drum machine rhythm, but it's not bad.
