Ooh, ugh, Lisa Schwarzbaum. *grits teeth* I've been reading EW for over a decade, and if there is one writer at the magazine I cannot abide, it is she. Her horrifically cutesy turns of phrase, her irritating fondness for Boscht Belt self-reference, her ponderous compound-complex sentences from which no light can escape -- all of it drives me to madness.

If Lisa Schwarzbaum is now summing up the human condition, I wanna change my species.

Sorry; no offense intended. I just hate hate hate her writing style. Why can't I have Gillian Flynn (or even Owen Gleiberman) sum me up instead?
