Opening Night

lillibetFinally I have a few minutes to post about opening night of Murder in the Cathedral. It was absolutely splendid! My cast came through for me just the way that I knew they could. The Chorus was creepy, the Priests were steadfast, the Tempters were enticing, the Knights were scary and Thomas was transcendant. gilana pointed out, it's very different from doing a comedy, because you don't have the laughs to indicate how the audience is reacting. But we got a bunch of excellent comments from the audience (which was about 75 people!) and they seemed to have enjoyed and appreciated it. Best of all, we're all looking forward to doing it again--lucky, since we have six more shows to perform.
On the bad news side, I seem to be coming down with a cold. Fortunately, my role in the show is mostly complete, so it's not too terrible timing. Once we get through today I'll be able to sleep and that should make me well in short order.
