It's been a really wonderful trip. Felt a bit whirlwind, with all we were doing, but both of us getting a cold (together with several other people in our group) kept us from running around too haphazardly. The wedding went very well--the venues were each lovely, my reading went well and got some very nice comments, the weather was impossibly lovely, the food delicious and the conversation lively. We saw our first panto, complete with LOTR references amid the very silly jokes, and celebrated New Year's Eve in high style at YMing and a Soho club. We had a lovely tea and saw a bit of the New Year's Day Parade and got to the cinema to see The House of Flying Daggers. We saw quite a bit of the happy couple and got to meet many of the bride's friends & family of whom we've heard stories for years. I grew particularly fond of eight year old William--I'm a sucker for the youngest. Today we revisted the Tate Modern and had a lovely dinner at The People's Palace, Jason's favorite. And tomorrow we head home!
