We just received word that Jason's great-uncle, Jack, died this afternoon at home.

What an interesting filmography. And it appears he began film acting later in life and enjoyed a career far into his golden years. As sad as it is to lose a loved one, it's always wonderful to see someone live a good long life that stayed rich and full all the way.

Yes--his early career was mainly onstage. He did a lot of Broadway, back in the day. He was a grand old man.

Yeah--he's one of those distinctive supporting actors who you look at and say "he looks familiar". We caught one of his re-runs on TV not long ago and it was funny how quickly I forgot that he's someone I know.
