Autism linked pretty definitively to immunization and subsequently covered up by the CDC et al.

I am appalled. I never believed the rumors about this. I want to cry.

It's not even well established that autism is a single syndrome. To categorically link it with vaccinations is irresponsible.

I had a feeling, and we only had P immunized by non-thim vaccines. He hasn't had MMR (just one of the M's in a single dose). Makes me ill just thinking of how people do things like this just for more money. Bastards.

http://medicines.mhra.gov.uk/ourwork/monitorsafequalmed/vaccinesafety/thiomersal.htm

"The view of the CSM remains that there is no evidence of neurodevelopmental adverse effects caused by levels of thiomersal in vaccines. The only evidence of harm due to thiomersal is a small risk of hypersensitivity reactions (that typically include skin rashes or local swelling at the site of injection). The CSM advises that the balance of risks and benefits of thiomersal-containing vaccines is overwhelmingly positive."

honestly, salon is not a particularly reputable source.

I agree, I'd like to see something from the NEJM or AAP addressing it. However, I still don't want my child to receive an injection with thimerosal, regardless of whether the connection to autism is true. It's just poison.
