Sometimes, an adventure isn't what you were looking for.

I was in Powderhouse Circle. The light turned red. I stopped. The guy in the Buick behind me didn't. Poor Mini.

No injuries, car is driveable, but needs to have the bumper pulled away from the tire so as not to make the scary noises it made as we rolled down the hill to the church.

And now we return to our regularly scheduled (but slightly delayed, hence my emergency run to Methuen, which had me returning to the church just at that moment) hanging of the lights for the show.

Poor Mini.

Oh no! You're the third person I know this week to have been rear-ended!

Glad you're okay and sorry for your poor Mini. *hug*

Ack! I'm sorry to hear that, and truly feel your pain.

Poor Mini!

Poor Mini! At the moment that Gabriel and I saw you, we were in the middle of a conversation about car accidents and the benefits of seat belts.

I looked at the guys bumber and then yours. I did notice that his was far more damaged than yours. It's not really much of a consolation, but I did feel that the mini did its best to both protect you and fight back.

Good mini, really good mini.

Oh, NO!
Glad you're OK, though.
Was this during the same car trip I was talking to you?

Yeah--about ten minutes later. It's kind of ironic that I flew up and down 93 with no problems and then got hit at a standstill a block from my destination.

Whenever I hear or witness car accidents, I remember the time three weeks after I got my license and my Chrysler Lebaron got sandwiched in between two cars, causing me to swerve to the other side of Route 138, hit a telephone pole, momentarily blank out, and wake up to find the car totaled. Luckily, the cops at the bottom of the hill witnessed it, cited the guy behind me for going too fast, and gave me and my shotgun friend a ride home.
