And now that the show really is over...
Nov. 21st, 2005 02:39 amI want to thank every single person involved in the Theatre@First production of The Merry Wives of Windsor.
The actors--all of you should be proud of the work you did and the performance you achieved in this show. I had a wonderful time working with you, individually and collectively, and feel like we pulled together to create something really special.
The crew--working with you was a joy and for the first time, I have no sense of relief that the show is over, because you made it all so easy and painless for me.
The cow wearers (house volunteers)--each of you provided key support during our performances and are much appreciated.
The audience--your support of us, the energy you give, the joy of sharing our work with you...it's what makes it worth doing and possible to continue doing and we cannot express how important you are to us.
I am extremely proud of what we managed to accomplish together. This was an extremely happy and fun show for me and I will miss it and hope to see all of you early and often and to work with you all again at some point.
Take an extra bow, everyone--you deserve the applause!

Date: 2005-11-21 02:48 pm (UTC)Per your mention in the other post of All's Well That Ends Well, it's a great play for us. It has a female lead and three big supporting female roles, and one of the best villians in all of Shakespeare's work. Definitely worth considering.
