MITC - A Resounding Chorus
Sep. 28th, 2004 12:14 amFor whatever reason, it's always something of a revelation to me, each time I start a new show, to find that I love rehearsals. The sense of creating something, of spinning individual performances and weaving them together is incredibly energizing. Of course, working with talented people makes it even better. Tonight's Chorus rehearsal went really well. Mare's work with them on Wednesday had resulted in some really great-sounding speeches and we were able to get the whole thing on its feet. With ten women scattered all around the sanctuary, the sound seems to be coming from everywhere--it's spooky and saturating and deeply cool. I overused the word "awesome" during the rehearsal, but it really was just that. Long way to go yet, but our foundations are solid.
