Crying

I'm having myself a little crying jag. Not a violent one, just a slow seeping out of the little pains that build up with every news story.

When I heard that the World Trade Centers had been destroyed, my very first coherent thought was "please don't let us go to war over this--nothing we do now will bring back a single one of those people." Like Gandalf says, "many who die deserve life--can you give it to them?"

And every one of those people is still dead, with bodies heaped on top of them, our system of international law in tatters, and our economy steadily flowing down that bloody drain. We have gone to war in all our usual righteousness, voluntarily descended into the kind of savagery our propaganda teaches us to despise.

It makes me sad. It makes me angry. Let the choir say "Amen!"

Amen, sister. *sigh*

Apparently, we've got to destroy America to save America. Who knew?

... and we also have to destroy Iraq to save Iraq!

(Pay no attention to the MegaCorps like Haliburton behind the curtain making gigabucks off of lucrative rebuilding contracts. Nothing to see here, move along move along!)

A big amen from me. I think about this often, too. Hug...
