Alice has a lot of words that are consistent, but we haven't figured out yet. I wish I knew what she meant by "bitch! bitch!" I'm pretty sure it's not me!

Do we get some kind of context? I love puzzling out toddlerspeak. Except when they are frustrated and yelling at you and making it even harder to figure out.

DD2 was having a conversation with my mother on Skype this afternoon and she kept asking my mom to read her The Very Hungry Caterpillar but she was just saying "caterpillar" (as in, would you read me caterpillar...) and my mother couldn't understand her at all. Even after she threw in the bone of "hungry". I was in the other room and knew perfectly well what she was asking for. I guess that's the advantage of living with her though.

If I have any thoughts, I'll get back to you on bitch....

There's not much context, really. She's said it several times and it's pretty clearly a noun and something in her home environment. She's at the point where "chee!" means "music!" so it really could be anything. It's just funny to hear it coming out of her mouth.

The other night at dinner she said "Callate!" (shut up in Spanish) very clearly--both J. and I did double-takes. But no, she's just babbling.

I hear her word for music with a softer sh sound, like "sidhe". Apparently she associates it with fairies. :P

I don't think so--she says it around the house here and I think it's a noun, her name for something around her. It's possible it's "binky," but we think that's a different sound.

Peach? Meaning food? Eoin says nana for food OR banana.

Could be, but peaches have been "ches" for a while now, so it would be a change. And food is usually "soup".

We're sort of amused and embarrassed by the way "fork" comes out...he omits the "r", and the "o" sounds more like a "u"...

Oh my! Yes, that would be both amusing and at least potentially embarrassing. We mostly stick to spoons :)
