Here's lookin' at you
Sep. 25th, 2004 01:15 amJust before he left, Jamin took some headshots of me and gave me 55 images to choose from. I've narrowed it down to my ten favorites and I'd love to have other people's opinions. So take a look at the Top Ten and let me know what you think.
In case it's unclear, the purpose of these is to have something to take to auditions, should I ever decide to tread the boards again, something to put on lobby displays of shows I direct, something to put up on websites when I need a photo--something to be a standard photo of me.
Thanks for your help!

Date: 2004-09-25 05:27 am (UTC)01.jpg is by far my favorite. Is showcases your lovely smile and the pose has distinctive character.
022.jpg would be my top choice of the glasses-wearing shots. Like 01, it has a theatre-y quality.
Some of the others I didn't like as much because the face-forward pose has a passport photo feel to it. The ones I mentioned above have less rigid pose that shows off your long hair and facial contours better.

Date: 2004-09-25 10:03 am (UTC)For an acting gig, I would say EH010001 -- no glasses would be the way to go. It says can go with the flow.
I have to agree with bookly on 01 -- I can see where people would like it, but I'm not that fond of it. I find the uneven lighting creates a bad asymmetry with the eyes and face. The left eye ends up being bigger than the right, and gives that one the a squinting appearance. On the face, the right ends up looking smaller than the left which has more lighting to it. Maybe its the way you're turned wrt to the lights and lens.

Date: 2004-09-25 08:32 pm (UTC)You can go to particular pictures by clicking on the thumbnails, or you can look at the pictures one at a time by going to http://apocalypse.org/~hunter/headshots and clicking on "images" and then go through the images one at a time.
I know the slideshow is somewhat annoying, but it's the only Adobe option that has the vertical bar and with the horizontal ones you can't see the whole large photo on a 17" screen.
