[livejournal.com profile] scholargipsy passed along the link to this fun test of one's ability to estimate mathematical ratios.

I didn't do as well as [livejournal.com profile] scholargipsy, but I'm still pretty pleased.

I find myself wondering just what the correlation between this test and formal math skills is, because my formal math skills are...not strong.

Ditto. I scored 88, and my math skills were ... fluid. Except for geometry. I rocked at geometry.

My sense was that I was far more likely to notice yellow than blue due to contrast, although apparently that isn't the case, which intrigued me.

I got distracted by patterns, like when there was a clump of color. I started wondering whether I would fall for clumps or bigger dots when there were actually fewer of them.

Yeah, I was wondering that too. Also whether I was more likely to notice the yellow than the blue due to contrast.
