Busy Night

lillibetI had a fairly lazy day--got up around ten, hung out online, did a bunch of laundry. Then, suddenly, around five, things got very busy and I proceeded to have a hectic and fun evening.
I made a very tasty dinner, using up things that needed to be cooked (steak, scalloped potatoes, sauteed baby spinach), and Jason came home from work and we ate and caught up. Then I ran a few errands and went to the gym for the first time in a couple of months (other than yoga) and hooked up with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
rmd and hammercock and another Elizabeth (is she on here?). I had a good workout, all things considered, and it was fun to catch up with folks and see hammercock's terrible spider bites and hear tales of rmd's traveling uterus. I even found a taker for the chai bath gel from Lush that I liked in the store, but not in the shower ("Hey Mikey, he likes it!").
Racing out of there (wet hair in this weather is really no fun), I zipped over to Central Square and got to tt's in time to hang out a bit with steve and this woman he's been telling me about for years now that I'd never met before, while this guy whined onstage. Finally he was done and it was time for Ad Frank, whose sets I always enjoy. He did "Dumb Trilemma," which I always enjoy ("So I'm stuck here in the bathroom/Until I remember which doorway is hers") and "Martini Bouquet" and "U-Hauls and Ryders" and a bunch of other cool and beautiful songs. And then we hung out way too long and I got the "newspaper" from Tom's car and headed home and talked to my friend, Linda, in Seattle, and caught her up on what's been happening here on the Right Coast.
So it was a good and busy day, even if it did get off to a slow start.
