It's been a pretty foodie week, partly because of the Olympics, and partly because I kept having to be at the grocery store for something-or-other (mostly related to the making of sangria, oddly enough).
Sunday - fried chicken with rice & gravy and salad
Monday - salmon fillets topped with lobster roe mayo and dill, with rice pilaf and spinach
Tuesday - dinner at Cuchi Cuchi with friends in from London
Wednesday - grilled sirloin steaks, corn on the cob and sugar snaps
Thursday - grilled lemon & herb marinated lamb kebabs with corn on the cob and sugar snaps
(Note to self: Wilson Farms' corn is much better than B&C's)
Friday - grilled duck breast with wild mushroom/peppercorn ravioli in sage pesto and salad
bookly commented "You live well." It's true. I'm psyched that I've been willing to cook so much, although I'm sort of craving a roast beef sub from Nick's. Ah well, soon I'll be in rehearsal and living on them 3x a week and desperate for the inspiration and energy to cook real food.
