Gazebo

I realize that I haven't written much about the process of Talley's Folly, but I thought a brief note to mark the end of the show would be appropriate.

So many people helped. Old friends, good friends, random strangers that I'd never seen before, cool folk I'd met at a party once...everyone pitched in throughout the process and created a show that was good at so many levels. Special, huge thanks to dpolicar and chanaleh who were amazing to work with and made me incredibly proud to have collaborated with them in this endeavor. And extra kudos to muffyjo who came through for me despite all the crap that life has thrown at her this year--your amazing energy and joy in what we do is an unending inspiration for me.

Finally, thank you so much to everyone who came to see the show. It was a real pleasure to share this with you--I hope you enjoyed it and that we'll see you at future Theatre@First shows.

And they gave me a gazebo, a miniature one suitable for use as a birdfeeder, signed by everyone. Y'all are so fantastic. I will treasure it always.

The show was wonderful. I was tempted to say it was my favorite of all T@F's productions but that's so hard - I've loved every show. That said, I do think it was a lovely and realistic valentine for the audience.

Thanks for kindly hearing my suggestion of having play-readings of the other two plays. I was talking with a few friends and we were all contemplating ordering the others and it struck me that doing a read-thru or spending a Sunday afternoon or some random evening with T@F folks doing such a thing would be lovely.
