Theatrical Break
Aug. 17th, 2001 03:29 amWe've had a fairly uneventful week, with the only notable exception being a
production of Carlo Gozzi's _The King Stag_, which was originally designed
by Julie Taymor (director of The Lion King musical) and developed at the ART
in Cambridge. It was a fun melange of different types of stylized
performance (kabuki, commedia dell'arte, Indonesian dance) and puppetry.
And the magician was played by an actor from one of my current TV
obsessions!
I've been cooking more since I got back from Boston. I made an incredibly
moist and tasty slow-baked fillet of salmon a couple of nights ago, if
anyone wants the recipe.
Tonight we're going to see _A Servant to Two Masters_, so I'll have that to
tell you about on Monday.
