Know anyone near Utica?
Oct. 31st, 2007 01:23 amI just got this message from a friend:
Hello my friends - I am writing with an unusual request -- help me
find some people to meet in upstate NY! Any connection you might have
to properly located real life person(s) would be extremely welcome.
Here's the scenario: My older brother Serge, a 39-year-old dentist,
moved to Clinton NY (kind of near Utica) about a year ago. He works
all the time and doesn't know anybody. BUT - he's a really, really
great cook. And pretty entertaining during dinner, as am I. : )
I am going up there the weekend before Thanksgiving. I had this idea
we could throw a dinner party on Saturday night, Nov. 17. But I need
to find some people to invite - preferably people who know someone I
know, or something close to it. Do you know anyone? Anyone who might
know anyone? Maybe an artist or a musician, or a faculty member at
Hamilton or one of the other area colleges. Married (great, we can get
*two* people), single, male, female, whatever. Just need to find some
interesting folks, 25-65ish, who like to eat, drink and be merry and
would enjoy a dinner party. (any potential for making friends with my
brother is a bonus but not required)
Any leads gratefully appreciated.
Since my Upstate connections are all in the Albany area, I can't help, but if you know anyone out that way who might enjoy meeting some cool people, let me know and I'll be happy to pass along contact info.
