I just learned that Heidi Galvin died yesterday of a heart attack. I haven't seen or spoken to her or John in almost twenty years, but I danced at her wedding and I am sad to hear that she is gone from the world.

Into this hard summer, add another loss: Mitko Zagoroff, the husband of Polly Drinkwater who helped Beckie to buy our home and has been the real estate agent for many people we know, died while biking in Switzerland in June. He was a fascinating man, an inventor and engineer who helped the artist Christo to realize many of his large projects. You can read his obituary here.
