Friday Five
Aug. 1st, 2008 04:51 pmThese are really hard for me, but here's a shot:
1. Name one movie you wish everybody could watch.
Although I'm tempted by Impromptu, maybe Schindler's List for the message that doing what you can in the face of insurmountable horror is worthwhile.
2. Name two books you wish everybody could read.
The Sun, the Moon and the Stars by Steven Brust
Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
3. Name three goals you wish everybody could achieve.
freedom
self-awareness
true love
4. Name four people you wish everybody could know.
I know so many great individuals that it's extremely hard to choose. Conveniently, there are four people in my birth family and they're all very cool in their own ways, with a lot to offer others, so I'll pick them.
5. Name five places you wish everybody could visit.
• the mesquita in Cordoba, Spain
• Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA
• The Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, CA
• The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City
• Karnak temple complex in Luxor, Egypt
