I've been asked by another community theatre group to suggest plays/musicals that they might do and since my head is entirely full of The Margaret Ghost (reminder, come to auditions!) I can't think of a single thing. I know I've got a lot of theatre buffs out there--what would you like to see performed in the area?

I did that one in college. God, I love that play.

There are a bunch of great plays on my show list, actually... Arsenic, Lion in Winter, Cyrano, Brodie, It Runs In The Family, Earnest.

Equus and Arcadia are probably too hard, but wow, those are some SHOWS. Flea In Her Ear is hilarious. Oddly enough, I've never seen Our Town on stage.

Oh, and this one too! God, it's scary how many of these shows I was in (and how much time I spent researching and compiling those pages.)

I realize why, but it's a sad state of affairs when so many annual productions lasted in the earlier years but very few per year over the past decade.

And seeing Woody Allen's "God" performed in 1991 brought back memories; it was around the same year, maybe 1992, when the play was performed as part of a one-act festival in my high school. I forget if I was in "God" or a competing play (we actually competed in the plays for awards) but I remember the name.

There weren't fewer plays done in those years. I just couldn't find out what and when through my research -- no alumni from that time were on the listservs I used, and there were very few programs and posters in the broadsides collection in the Cornell archive. People were good in the beginning, but not so good during the middle about saving stuff. But the theatre was busy as ever during those years, according to people who lived there at the time.

I want to see it performed here so badly. I need to get some directing under my belt (one-acts festival?) so that I could feel a little bit more confident about proposing it for T@F
