MITC - Inch by Inch
Oct. 19th, 2004 01:01 amI spent this evening with the Chorus and we got through the last three speeches that they need to learn. I think they're all coming right along and each speech is developing its own tone and flavor in some very interesting ways. They've still got work to do, in terms of getting word perfect and remembering the blocking, but I feel entirely confident that we're on track. I really enjoy spending time with them as a group and as individuals--it's kind of fun to have a Girls Night at T@F.
And tomorrow, still more blocking of the murder.

when it sets, is there any chance we can get a copy of it written down (or drawn, or however one represents blocking)?

Date: 2004-10-19 08:58 am (UTC)Hadn't thought about it this way... i guess mine is:
- Follow spence
- Stand there looking intimidating; don't crack up when Peter walks into me
- Cross over trying to look like I have some good reason to do so ("we must see the archbishop")
- Be surprised by Thomas' entrance
- Declaim to the audience ("you are the archbishop...")
- Threaten Thomas ineffectually ("creeping out of the London dirt")
- Let Spence push me out of the way ("saving your order...")
- Taunt, circle, taunt some more ("saving your insolence... pray for you... god bless him")
- Declaim to the audience some more ("yet the king, out of his charity...")
- Threaten Thomas and the priests ineffectually ("priest, you have spoken...")
- Storm off frustrated ("Enough of words...")
Then:But I only know the cues for about half of those, and I'm sure a bunch of movements are missing.
